Key features
Copy complete emoji sequences
Find characters, U+ codepoints, decimal or hexadecimal HTML entities and CSS content, including skin tones and joined sequences.
Check GitHub shortcode availability
Search the pinned gemoji aliases alongside Unicode names. Shortcodes are platform conventions and may not exist for every emoji.
Free, without an account
Search and export without sign-up or payment. Static data and artwork load from this website; searches, selections and generated results are handled locally.
Complete Unicode codes
Unicode sequences can include multiple codepoints, joiners, variation selectors and skin tones. HTML entities and CSS escapes preserve the full selected sequence. Text appearance is determined by the receiving device and font.
Example: 😀 is U+1F600, decimal HTML 😀, hexadecimal HTML 😀, and CSS content: "\1F600 ";. The GitHub alias is :grinning:.
Availability and browser limits
The list uses Unicode 18.0. GitHub shortcodes use gemoji fadaeaf1, are not Unicode standards, and may differ on other platforms. Not every entry has a GitHub alias; absent mappings are labelled unavailable.
Searching and code conversion run on your device. This page loads the local Unicode index without requesting the artwork library. It has no image download buttons; use the linked PNG, SVG or 3D tools for artwork.
Sources, versions and attribution
The searchable list uses Unicode 18.0 data and GitHub gemoji commit fadaeaf1f1a9be82b321316a6c5502e43138b2f6. Their notices are linked above. Shortcodes are a GitHub convention, not part of Unicode.
The related image tools use independently pinned Twemoji, Noto and Fluent artwork. Copying a character or HTML entity does not retain an artwork style; the receiving device and font determine its appearance.
Frequently asked questions
Is copying emoji HTML and CSS code free?
Yes. Search and copy complete code sequences without an account or payment. This page looks up code; it does not offer image downloads or apply an artwork style to copied characters.
Do shortcodes work everywhere?
No. Aliases come from the pinned GitHub gemoji map. Other platforms may use different aliases or not support them. HTML, CSS and Unicode output preserve the complete character sequence.
Can I copy newer emoji even if my device cannot display them?
Yes. The complete Unicode 18.0 code can be copied even when your font shows a missing symbol. Display support depends on the receiving device; GitHub aliases are unavailable where the pinned mapping has no entry.
Does my selection leave this browser?
No selection, search text, copied code or generated result is uploaded. This tool downloads static resources from this website and processes them locally.
