What GIF Watermark Remover changes
Choose crop-to-selection, remove-top-strip, remove-bottom-strip or fill-selection. Drag a rectangle on the preview or set source pixel coordinates numerically.
Cropping keeps only the selected rectangle and changes dimensions. Strip modes remove the specified number of rows. Filling keeps the dimensions and places an opaque color over the selected region in every frame.
Format details and limits
This is manual cropping or covering, not AI background repair. It cannot reconstruct pixels hidden behind a logo. A moving watermark needs a larger fixed region or a different workflow.
A practical example
For a GIF with a solid caption bar at the bottom, select Remove bottom strip and enter the bar height. Inspect the result to ensure the subject is not cropped.
Supported files and processing limits
Animation input is limited to 20MiB, 4 megapixels per frame, 300 frames and a 128MiB RGBA frame cache.
Processing and packaging stop after 60 seconds. Device memory and browser capabilities can limit smaller files too. Cancel or clear the task to release its working results; changing a setting clears the old download.
Frequently asked questions
Will color fill keep the original GIF dimensions?
Yes. Filling covers the selection on every frame without shrinking the canvas. Crop and strip modes remove pixels and change the output dimensions.
Does this reconstruct the image under a watermark?
No. Cropping removes pixels and color fill covers them. The tool does not recover the obscured background or track moving watermarks.
Can I remove a border from a GIF?
Yes. Crop to a selected rectangle or remove a top or bottom strip. This GIF watermark remover can also cover a fixed area with a color; it cannot restore pixels hidden beneath a watermark.
Why was my file rejected?
Input up to 20MiB, 4 megapixels per frame and 300 frames. Total RGBA frame cache is limited to 128MiB. Invalid or unsupported file data is rejected. Try a smaller file or another browser if memory or encoding support is insufficient.
Are my files sent to a server?
No. Your input and generated output remain in your browser. Close the page or clear the tool to release its local results.
