MADE FOR THIS TASK

Key features

  • Build a typewriter animation

Set font, colors, canvas size, typing speed and pause. Use a transparent background or a solid fill.

  • Add a cursor or deletion pass

Show a cursor, blink it during the pause, or type and delete before repeating. Appearance depends on installed system fonts.

  • Free, without an account

Use the available controls, preview and downloads without sign-up or payment. Processing runs on your device within the stated format and memory limits.

What Typing Text GIF Maker changes

Enter up to 140 characters, including emoji or line breaks. Choose a system font family, font size, canvas dimensions, foreground and background colors, or a transparent background.

Choose characters per second, a pause and an optional cursor that blinks during the pause. Typing + delete removes characters before the next pass. Total plays uses 0 for infinite repetition.

Format details and limits

Text is drawn locally with installed system fonts, so appearance can differ between devices. Increase the canvas or reduce the font size if the full text does not fit. No font download or server rendering is used.

A practical example

For a terminal-like animation, use a monospace font, a dark background and a light text color. Try “Hello, world!” at 10 characters per second with a one-second pause.

Supported files and processing limits

Enter up to 140 grapheme characters. Canvas width is 64–1920px and height is 64–1080px. Generated animation must fit within 300 frames and a 128MiB RGBA frame cache.

Processing and packaging stop after 60 seconds. Device memory and browser capabilities can limit smaller files too. Cancel or clear the task to release its working results; changing a setting clears the old download.

A FEW GOOD QUESTIONS

Frequently asked questions

Why does the same text look different on another device?

The animation is drawn with locally installed fonts. Emoji and font glyphs can differ by operating system. The exported GIF fixes the appearance created on the device that generated it.

Does this support emoji and multiline text?

Yes. Characters are segmented as grapheme clusters so common emoji sequences are typed together. Rendering depends on your system font. Line breaks require enough canvas height.

Can I make a blinking cursor GIF?

Yes. This typewriter GIF generator can draw a cursor while typing and alternate its visibility during the pause. Enable Show cursor and Blink cursor during pause.

Why was my text animation rejected?

Text must fit the selected canvas and stay within 140 grapheme characters, 300 generated frames and the 128MiB frame-cache budget. Reduce text length, pause frames or canvas dimensions, or reduce the font size if text overflows.

Are my files sent to a server?

No. Your input and generated output remain in your browser. Close the page or clear the tool to release its local results.
